Double building, artist's studio (1902) and private house (1905), designed by architect Ernest Blerot, for sculptor and painter Louise de Hem.
Built in the floral Art Nouveau style, the large facade of the workshop features a superb sgraffito representing the artist at work. While the facade of the house, narrower, shows more ornaments. One can admire two very beautiful sgraffito representing a rooster at sunrise and above them 4 swallows in full flight.
An almost exact copy of this house can be found at Place Morichar 41 in Saint Gilles, also built by Ernest Blerot.
In 2023, the whole was remarkably restored, except for the large sgraffito in the workshop showing the artist at work.
