  • Sgrafittes

Beautiful “business card” facade of the sgraffito artist Victor Facon who demonstrates his art by illustrating, in medieval outfits, a painter on the right and a designer on the left.

The large sgraffito on the second floor seems to illustrate scenes from ancient Greece.

The text in the sun features the Greek letters PHI, OMEGA and ZETA.

Even the mailbox is decorated with sgraffito indicating the owner's profession.

All the sgraffito have unfortunately lost their colors.

The house was designed by architect Alphonse Dufour in 1910, in a late Art Nouveau style.

A curious owl decorates the bottom of the bow window.

The small wooden front door is typical of English Art Nouveau Arts & Crafts.
