A very fine example of geometric Art Nouveau, this house was built by architect Van Averbeke for his personal use. Very innovative for its time, located in a street with very classic houses, it catches the eye.

Basement in hardstone pierced with a small entrance door and two small windows.

Nice first floor, with its semi-circular arched window and its wrought iron balcony, with a very geometric design.

Two brick pilasters surround this window, they end with geometric Art Nouveau patterns. Note the detail of the design of the pilasters which is taken up in the woodwork of the window.

A simple sgraffito adorns the tall, narrow window in the left bay.

Very geometric top floor, adorned with a balcony and a wooden awning.

Everything is in excellent condition.

Listed since April 1995.
