The windows of the Wolfers jewelry store, originally installed in their sumptuous store on the rue d'Arenberg in Brussels, were transferred to the MRAH in the 1970s.

They are entirely designed and drawn down to the smallest detail by Victor Horta, who was also the author of the building that housed them from 1912 to 1973.

The showcases were made of Cuban mahogany, the interiors covered with green velvet, the fittings such as locks and handles are in bronze.

Wonderfully restored, they are exhibited in a dedicated space, with the same surface as the original, which reproduces the luxury of the store of yesteryear even in the mauve color of the walls. They even reproduced the entrance hall.

One can see today in the showcases Art Nouveau and Art Deco pieces from the museum's collections, one can admire among other things the marvelous “Mysterious Sphynx” by Van der Stappen, the two candlesticks designed by Van de Velde, the original drawings as well as jewelry created by Philippe Wolfers.

The Wolfers Room is part of the museum's permanent exhibition.
