Spectacular Art Nouveau façade on a classic eclectic architectural base.

It is the tiled decorations that are surprising.

This genre was very popular on the Belgian seaside where there are still a few, including the Villa Olga in Blanckenberge.

The one in La Louvière was built in 1908, on three levels, decorated with earthenware from top to bottom.

The loggia on the main floor is the most decorated, with its climbing flowers, irises, nasturtiums, bindweeds dear to Art Nouveau artists. The birds are not left out, peacocks, crowned cranes, a real winter garden.

The whole was built by the Antwerp company Hemiksem, a great specialist in decorative ceramics at the time.

The current owners have carried out a masterful restoration, down to the smallest details, the house is in perfect condition.

The facade was listed in June 1996.
