Born in Verviers on January 10, 1874, he died in Liège on June 23, 1955.
Rogister trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Liège, then joined the architects Charles Soubre and Paul Jaspar as an intern, both very active in the Liège region.
After rather eclectic first creations, Victor Rogister followed the Art Nouveau movement, inspired by the Viennese Secession.
After the war which marked the end of Art Nouveau, Rogister turned to a Beaux-Arts style more appreciated by customers. More on the Wikipedia page dedicated to it.
